Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard

Members of AMVETS Post 0845 Rockwell stand at the firing position during a Funeral Service at the Salisbury National Cemetery….Members of the Honor Guard from Post 0845 are:   Honor Guard Commander David Hand, Robert Hopkins, Homer Robinson, Don Webb and Marvin Kyles. The Honor Guard supports the Deceased Veterans throughout Rowan County, but mainly at the National Cemetery Salisbury, which is located at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner Veterans Medical Center, Salisbury, North Carolina. Services provided are at the request of the Next of Kin of the deceased Veteran and include the playing of Taps, firing of Three Rifle Volleys, folding of the flag and presentation to the family..

The Honor Guard averages 35-40 Funeral Service^ per month and have assisted with as many as 6 funerals in one day…
